Come on. Why are so many corporations registered in Delaware? Why is Amazon Europe registered in Luxembourg? Multinationals have been doing this forever.

I too don’t see these things as mutually exclusive. We benefit today from scientific innovations that got us to the moon + the human species behaves better when it has goals. Zero emissions power source development would be useful, plenty to learn about human physiology too.

12 obvious ways to reduce emissions that nobody is talking about Talk about low-hanging fruit. Here are a dozen fairly simple ideas to slash emissions. Why aren’t we doing them?

2.5 year old article that is as relevant today as it was when it was when it was written. Some of it is adopted by at least one UK political party, but not much talked about. #climate #change #action #greensolutions www.positive.news/environment/...

30 Unpublished Poems From Iconic Greek Philosopher Discovered in Cairo For over two millennia, the philosopher’s poetic work had largely been alluded to in the writings of others.

A 2,000-year-old papyrus fragment, discovered in the archives of the French Institute of Oriental Archaeology in Cairo, reveals 30 previously unpublished verses by Empedocles, a pre-Socratic philosopher of the 5th century BC.

I’m going to talk about digital advertising screens, which doesn’t sound exciting, but please bear with me.

I want to explain why I spend time objecting to so many of these.

The morning after Hannah won I was asked time and time again about this.

There was no evidence for it. Instead the establishment media fuelled the fire.

It was Islamaphobic. And it's because those in power are scared of us ending rip off Britain.

This image is within @jjn1.bsky.social excellent thrice weekly newsletter which I recommend. ‘Soft power’ is so underrated. So many cultures seem to want to be America. EG Dreams of robots, drones, automated delivery etc pervade Asia. Why no stronger local cultural vision? Or is my Western wrong?

The last LNG tankers from the Gulf arrive in the next 10 days. After that, many countries face a sharp drop in supply.

Qatar’s Ras Laffan plant — 20% of global LNG — could be offline for 3-5 years.

Reminder that fossil fuel import dependence is an energy security problem, not just a climate one.
