We know that the effects of working in the pandemic are far from over. We believe it is unacceptable to leave healthcare staff without quality, free & accessible mental health support - and if you are patient facing - we are here for you.

Sadly too tired to stay up for this one…. Sounds great….would be excellent if it’s recorded @wfpiccs.bsky.social
When the possum plushies are a bit too life like in the airport.

I’m still excited when I see one of these little guys bound across the road and run up a tree! 🙂
Yes I recall having to screen a kid for sepsis post vax in the uk because of fever and other symptoms that made it difficult not to. So fever is real.
Having seen a child die despite many health care professionals intervening, in the space of hrs, I’d say vaccination is definitely worth fever risk!
This really is a reminder that MenB is vaccine preventable, and it’s tragic to see so many young individuals loose their lives. #menB
Following the outbreak of meningococcal disease (meningitis and septicaemia) in Kent, we've published a briefing page with information made available by the UK Health Security Agency.
We'll keep this up to date in line with the latest government information.

😐 this is just sad when it’s completely preventable.
The American Academy of Pediatrics has emerged as the chief institutional opponent to RFK Jr.'s vaccine policy overhaul.
The group is suing to restore the earlier childhood immunization schedule, and challenging changes to federal advisory panels. www.statnews.com/2026/02/13/b...
😐 well done to misinformation and anti vax 😕
JAMA Network Open article: "Chlorhexidine vs Povidone-Iodine and Incidence of Catheter-Related Infections A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis" by Bertrand Drugeon, Gabor Mihala, and Jessica Schults, published February 12, 2026.
High-concentration chlorhexidine in isopropyl alcohol reduced catheter-related infection rates more than povidone-iodine or aqueous formulations, with alcoholic PVI and aqueous agents reserved for CHG or alcohol intolerance.

And I was worried about going out in the rain this evening as my hair tries to take this style! And yet the cat wins for real style!
I knew nothing about snakes 🐍 in the UK, seemingly as all nature in Aus wants to kill me (ok some) it seems wise to know! lol 😂

I thought I’d say Hi 👋
I'm Jess, mum to 2 kids, lover of the outdoors.
Passionate about mental health & wellbeing.
I've had a somewhat 'squiggly' career- Paediatrician turned primary teacher.
Now educator, advocate, keynote speaker.
I've not been here for a while so please stop and say hi!
Greetings, how are you Colin? Nice to hear from you, what are you doing now, are you back up in Yorkshire focus or still doing GMC activities? I’m out in Melbourne in picu 🙂
I think I’ve just missed everyone. I kind of used everything less -now I’m not sure what everyone back home is doing. Which is a little sad as it was fun when there was a great paediatric UK and international feel on X. Shall just have to see? Or join linked in. So many platforms!
Photo of me in a blue jumpsuit standing posing on the stage in front of the iconic red and white TEDx Warrington letters
I shared my TEDx talk to my 22k followers on X and got 2 likes.
Yes 2 😢
Social media algorithms can make you feel strangely lonely.
I thought I'd see what it's like here instead.
The link's in my bio or below.
Join me for 6 mins as I talk about reconnecting with my inner child.
I feel like everyone left X and then I semi lost track as this doesn’t seem quite the same.
I was wondered what people use for conferences now, X used to be great for info and liaising and broadening life out/contacts, now I’m not sure what replaced it?

Thank you,
Addict of right sort!
Now is @drnickschindler.bsky.social here somewhere, I feel like it’s been so long he might be running a department by now.
Everyone is grown up and I’m still on my post cct holiday trying to do exams in aus. Becoming a geek. Study is fun 🤓
I saw Malvern and then realised you weren’t near me, everything in aus is in England too. Or shall we say many places are. Just not geographically with same relations of north or south.
Looks great….how is this only your first massage? I’m an addict. 💆♀️
I think I need to visit here more often, I never really worked out the X > 🦋 so very well and now I feel like I don’t know what anyone is doing. Instagram has not kept me up to date -though the northerners had snow and you seem to be having a great time.
Aus is sunny….all is good!
Thankfully not like this during regatta season……yikes 🚣♂️
