I, a nonfootballish person, spent most of the game giggling that the logo looked more like lix than LIX and pronouncing it licks. Super Bowl Licks.

Oh. Oh NO.
Hiiiiii! And…favorite species of owl?
Just “peche” 😂
A peachy pink Le Creuset of impressive size.
I bought myself a present and I’m using it so much and I really love it and oh noes I’m now one of those people aren’t I.
The deep satisfaction of a well organized, clean fridge tho.
That’s not food, it’s ingredients 😂
My kids discovered that you can sing “So Long Farewell Auf Wiedersehen Good Bye” to the melody from “Look Down” in Les Mis and I will never again know peace (but I am duly impressed by their enthusiasm).
Well it’s going to be face stripping cold and possibly dump a foot or so of snow on us this weekend but it’s ok because I bought Nutella.
I mean good for your mom, honestly. Wisdom!
Strength to your signing hand!
I’ll be in conversation with the fabulous @rowennam.bsky.social this Friday at The Whispering Shelf in Indianapolis. ❤️📚 #booklaunch #books #writer #author #bookevents
You have nothing planned and no obligations; you’re not necessarily looking for anything to fill the time but you’re open to spontaneous plans. (Hailing from the American Midwest for unscientific record purposes.)
The statement remains bogus. I know people in research science. They’re not running out of ideas. They have too many ideas and not enough funding, sure! But I stand by the assessment that the tagline statement chosen by Vox to advertise their article is in fact bogus.
“We’re running out of good ideas.”
What? No we’re not? Who says this?
What an utterly bogus premise to even begin from.
For the record, this is still true.
My daughter just started rereading the books—they should form a book club 😂
Happy Nutcracker season!
A snapshot of the book cover for The Palace of Illusions by Rowenna Miller.
To get me in the holiday spirit, I'm reading @rowennam.bsky.social 's reimagining of The Nutcracker, my favorite Christmas story. 🎄❄️ #whatimreading #yafantasy #thepalaceofillusions #rowennamiller #christmastime
These clowns trying to turn everything into vocational education are preparing students for an economy that won't exist in four years. NO ONE KNOWS WHERE THE JOBS WILL BE.
"A.i." major? Christ almightly. Deeply irresponsible.
Rose and pale purple sunrise light filters through dark, snowy trees and casts a purple tint on fresh snow.
Winter sunrise.
Yeah it’s bats right now. I wish I didn’t have a barometer for a head but here we are.
I do take it off when I knead dough and make pie crust though 😂
But yeah I can’t even keep up with the banana cakes stuff re: that
Sometimes methinks certain partakers of creative work don’t realize that it was made using labor just like potatoes and eggs…
I dared to look at the Reddit sub for the theft place, and 1) those people don't understand that when they say "down with corporations" that creators are not part of corps 2) they refuse to acknowledge libraries + free library apps exist
I can only answer for myself, but secondhand shops often fill a community niche for literature and reading joy and I’m totally cool having only made my money once on the books they resell.
And library copies (physical or digital) are paid so authors get some money from those!
YEP. “Why are you no longer making the thing I enjoy what do you mean you burned out trying to earn enough for rent and groceries?”
The library rocks and many regions have some fantastic used bookstores!
also if you want free literature??? go to the library!! that's what they're there for!!!
