Who doesn't love Marble Madness?

Feeling that this week too.
Hope you get some good rest.
Yeah it’s night and day in this case .
Very slow . I didn’t think much of Dagon. It’s too short tbh to get invested in, just atmosphere. But I did enjoy the shadow over Innsmouth alot which is a novella.
They complement each other though as there is slight references
There’s probably better places to start but I enjoyed that.
#RandomGameSaturday Data East makes great run n guns. One of my faves is Bloody Wolf on Turbografx. Is it jank? Yes. Is it one of the best run n guns ever in terms of variety, patterns and positioning, and having a killer soundtrack? Also yes.
QRT: Another one, sequel to the great Heavy Barrel.
5 books read in 2026 The Hunger Games Catching Fire Dagon The Shadow Over Innsmouth Mockingjay
My New Year’s resolution this year (and I never make or stick to them)
was to get back into reading English books. It’s been going well so far.
Just finished Mockingjay. Didn’t love it as an ending I have to admit but really enjoyed catching fire
Also enjoyed my first Lovecraft book.
Yeah . Initial impressions arnt so great but there’s sometbing about it tbat just is so much fun .
I think the nice difficulty curve is a big part of it too. Was satisfying to get better at each run.
I want to try beat it on hard sometime as I noticed bosses behave a little differently.
While Sakimoto Hitoshi may not have actually composed the music, IMO his arrangements sure as hell outdo the original.
First level comes in and knocks your hat off and wakes up the lady in the back row
Great little Run and gun. I like the control scheme where you lock the gun into place over the rotation mechanic like it’s arcade original.
Also, instruction manuals used to go so hard

I’ve slowly been playing every Mega Drive game on twitch and every so often a come across a total surprise game like this that exceeds my expectation
Finding a control scheme that works for you is key but then it has a lovely learning curve
Music also slaps, but you knew that.
My love since Christmas 1995.
Nothing special tonight...
Been feeling pretty tired and sick today so treated to myself to some new Arcade shmups.
Going to have a chill Friday night in playing them until I feel like it's bedtime.
Figured I may as well stream them
Feel free to come chill and hang.

I’m finally free from Krusty!
And now to get these mental scars tended to…
After reaching a softlock last night let's try again tonight..
(This was a bigger post explaining the softlock but i closed it by mistake and now I'm already live. Maybe later...)

I wanted to like it more than I did. Starts off well and has some cool ideas. The first boss and opening are really creative.
But that sewer level is just awful and the late game kinda gets worse as it goes on.
Last boss I remember was also kinda trash
Krusty's Super Softlock jank.
Give a hoot.
Watch my stream

Love this game. It’s like a b-movie that you play.
More Krusty's Super Fun House
and repeating levels when we die....

It’s important to try everything
Hmmmmm
The lives system on Kristy’s super fun house is killing my love for it.
Repeating puzzles is a lame and lazy way to extend playtime.
