If you do better 1:1, I now offer coaching as well! Maybe you already have a great therapist but could use support from someone who understands the challenges of managing a chronic illness. More details and info on scheduling flexible coaching sessions is available now on my website!

The last 6 months (and beyond) have been a lot. Join me on August 10 for this workshop on pacing when things feel chaotic and heavy. Anyone is welcome who wants to be more intentional about recognizing their needs and limits. Please feel free to share!

Also save the date for July 9! I’ll be back for another episode and livestream to talk about the challenges of pacing non-physical exertions - both for people with chronic illnesses and burnout, but also with just trying to make life sustainable in these complicated times!
I had the pleasure of being on Dr. Serena Wadwa’s podcast where we talked about the tensions of the personal and professional as therapists, how chronic illness impacts these, and answered a listener’s question about a loved one with Long COVID. Give it a listen!

My latest article is about misogyny & misogynoir.
Black women are three times more likely to die in pregnancy. Black babies have the highest infant mortality.
The government looking to cut Medicaid, food assistance & other critical support is forcing Adriana Smith to be an incubator for a fetus.
New post today breaking down the ethical and logistical problems with the vaccine changes and public health policy, as well as the inconsistencies between what we’re being told and the action is being taken.
It’s finally coming to light just how many people actually have Long COVID.
If you’ve been spared so far, do whatever you can to avoid re/infections, because there are no approved treatments and much of the research we were counting on just got gutted.

Hi! Great minds! I started pulling together a Google Doc tentatively called “So you think you have Long Covid” and brainstormed a bunch of thoughts, but haven’t had the capacity to really add to, edit, and organize it the way I wanted to. If you might want to collaborate, let me know!
I’m looking to interview some folks who stopped masking/testing/mitigating and then started again. This is for a piece I’m writing - happy to give attribution or keep folks anonymous.
Please submit a contact form & select “collaboration” for the inquiry type.

Yeah I’m sort of indifferent about her in general, but that was an artistic spectacle

the thing I hate most about that rfk quote is that autistic lives have value and worth and beauty and dignity whether they are able to do the things other people do or not. no one is defined by ability or lack thereof and to frame divergence as lack is monster stuff, utterly godless
My new friends over at PHAN shared my latest piece in honor of Long COVID Awareness Day. Be sure to check it out and give them a follow!

It’s been heartening to get a little traction & finally have some eyes on my writing! I’ve never done social media “right” & can’t/refuse to boil down complex, nuanced things into neat & tidy infographics or 180 characters, so I’m glad to find my long-form folks!

Here are 50 reasons someone might be masking in 2025. None of them have to do with anxiety or criminal behavior, and not all of them about COVID. Use them in your accommodations requests or when advocating to protect the right to wear masks/prevent mask bans.

Thank you! 💜
💯 Individualism has been hammered into us so much. I’m telling my clients worried that they “can’t do enough” right now that they are right. One person can’t. Same with therapists. None of us can fix all this alone, but it’s important that we do what we can when we can & keep building collectively
Call your State Senator and Assembly Member today to demand they oppose mask bans! We’ve updated our call tool with new talking points to help you make the strongest case possible. Every call makes a difference!
