Susan gets up to greet the customer. A man is in the doorway, seen from behind. (It’s Rayne.)
Susan
Ah, good afternoon, sir. How can I help?
Rayne
Hello, my good woman! I heard that this was the only shop with a supply of silk on the island. I was hoping that you could help with an aquamarine dressing gown?
Susan
Silk? Why yes, of course.

Of course, my boy!
Corry
So tell me, what brings you to CUMRAY?
Rayne

Corry
On land?
Rayne
Why yes! I’m a man of the sea, born and bred.

Corry
Please let go.
Chapter 1 of Grand adventure yonder is complete and I thought I’d share the lead up to one of my favourite scenes so far.
I’m glad Corry got to have this moment of whimsy before everything went bad!
