Woke up in Europe. Flew out of Asia. Going to bed in home sweet home Carolina. Eventually. My bag had an even wilder time, so hopefully it shows up.

If I understand correctly, Turkish Airlines actually boards from the back of the plane to the front. Everyone talks about it, let’s see how it goes.

Spent 8 hours at the airport. Ubering home. Will now miss our food tour of Istanbul and the free day I had to enjoy myself.

Audiobook listeners. I’ve got about a 20 hour travel day starting tomorrow afternoon. I’ve also got an Audible credit burning a hole in my pocket. Not looking for any non-fiction or anything serious. What’s a feel good, mindless novel that I can listen to all day tomorrow and into the next day.

Most painful thing I’ve done in some time is return jewelry to saks. The choices were pay $10 or do it in person. 15 minutes into trying to return. Should have just paid the $10.

8 hours into this Saturday trip home. I’ve made it the equivalent of a 3 hour drive.

May never get to Florida at this rate. 4 hour delay.

Jax. But it’s single digits in Ohio right now. :)

One last trip for 2025. A nice 48 hours basking in the Florida “warm” and then straight into the Ohio winter.

That’s what those older kids are for. I stopped grocery shopping years ago for this reason, then we were left with one kid without a drivers license. The pain. The agony.

So which car wash was sued and now we have to ride through in the car. The whole point is to chill and grab a coffee while they clean it. I’ve switched multiple car washes for this reason. And I know now the drive through and vacuum yourself are really popular. Guess I will do it at home.

This was my 6th year of Gobble & Gorge, but my first year of having bad enough knees that I walked. Sayonara running. Was still able to have a great morning with the fam.

In November of 2023 I submitted an online passport application. It was not approved in time so I drove to DC and did it in person with the help of @foushee.house.gov . I just got official notice that my “new” passport is being shipped from that digital application.
