Physical disability, chronic pain, and mental illness are part of my lore, not my limit.
I rebuild from glitches, myths, and moonlight.
This is just me. Carri.

Some days Iβm presence. Some days Iβm vapour. I honour both.
Iβve been a dancer, a builder, a teacher, a ghost.
Now Iβm all of themβand more.

Pupper!!! π€π€π€
Hey friendos! Today is the last Bandcamp Friday of the year.
What does that mean? All the profits go to the artists. π€π€π€
And that means they can make more of the music we love so much!

It's pretty great to live in a place where psychedelics fall in a legal grey zone and usually qualify for free delivery. π
Oh ick! π
Two word food challenge: Come up with your own pairing of foods that should NOT go together.

You're welcome.

My resilience has been tested far, far beyond what I imagined I am capable of. The hits to my mental health have been brutal.
IT IS A LOT.
So if you're curious or interested in how a neuro condition can ruin your life, check out @carriwithfnd.bsky.social.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
I want to educate others about Functional Neurological Disorder and advocate for those living with it. Because the reality is that losing my ability to walk fucked me up right good. π Then with all the other symptoms including seizures and malnutrition...
The thought has crossed my mind that by creating a second account for my experience with FND, I am trying to erase my disability to make my existence more palatable for others. (Isn't internalized ableism a bitch?)
Maybe. I'm still adjusting to this massive shift myself.
My main here will be writing, music, observations nobody cares about, spooky stuff, Heathenism, and whatever strikes my fancy. Probably some shit posts in there too.
But you don't have to worry about photos or in-depth medical discussions on this one.
UNLESS THEY CHANGE ME INTO A CYBORG.
Okay, folks. I'm getting a better handle on how things work here.
I REALIZE MEDICAL STUFF IS NOT FUN. I acknowledge that some folks have legit medical phobias. So, I started a second account: @carriwithfnd.bsky.social
That one will share about my life with / educate on / advocate for FND.
I'm glad it was you! π
At least I can go follow now, haha.
@ninosable.bsky.social I would follow, but I can't ruin that 666 for you. ;)
*waits patiently*
I made that mistake a couple months ago myself. π I had no idea I would be watching so many... π
Hail!
I consider anyone who's certified in her L1 certs advanced, hehe. As long as you are enjoying the process, who cares how long it takes! π
That is some utter BS. π€¬ I'm sure this will start cropping up more often; I hope the artists will stand firm like Hout did.
Can confirm, Alberta is freaking out. π I hate that I live here.
@allyann.bsky.social Would you consider adding FND (Functional Neurological Disorder) to the keywords? I guess it would be #fnd then?
That must have been a really scary experience at 13. The idea of it is still really hard for me to process; I can only imagine how it was for you. π€
This is the last ditch effort to see if I can manage my needed intake just with the supplement drinks. If I don't start gaining, then it's likely a tube. π’
I had an excellent handle on anatomy from yoga trainings that focused on biomechanics.
Most of it's gone from all my brain fog now. π
That makes total sense. Plus, you are quite advanced in Suhaila's style, if I recall.
The snow has killed most of my desire to leave the house at all now. π
Fellow Canadian reporting for duty!
BEHOLD!!! My new meal plan. Shots anyone? π
WISH ME LUCK this week folks! π€
*This is a long shot, but...
Do any of my music pals have any FUN SHOTGLASSES AS MERCH to make mealtime more interesting? πππ
Because Ensure isn't exactly delish to drink; so, maybe I can make DRINKING IT FUN!
#disability
That depends on how soon you venture into the cold white stuff to see said customer service employee. π
I have a TENS at home I use for severe nerve pain on my dominant arm and less severe muscular pain areas. It's made a difference for me. Plus, I can do daily treatments instead of only getting it at physio.
