What is wrong with teachers? Not letting a child read a little beyond their level?!? We grow by learning news stuff, not re-hashing what we already know. Half of my vocabulary came from reading above level books and figuring it out thru the sentence. And that's how I write for MG now.

I joined AutoCrit years ago; first to get some basic editing done but I stayed when the platform grew. It has free classes up to paid workshops like I'm taking. You can get a free membership for a few weeks just to check it out. The free is limited but it gives you a good idea of what's available.
