This extreme dependence on stock compensation is ruining the long term prospects of building a profitable business, is a net negative to investors and shareholders. There needs to be strict regulation on base pay vs stock compensation, alas that will not happen. Will share the detailed link.

I have been looking into CEO compensation trends in the past 3 years, courtesy free AI tools. Here is what I found:
Patrick Smith, CEO of Axon experienced the most dramatic increase, with compensation surging 999% from $16.5 million (2023) to $164.5 million (2024). His base pay was $31201
