I find it amazing but some people like to wake up with a cold blast.

Because Agatha Christie had so much experience of murder.
It’s called imagination.
2 things:
1. If you face the shower always turn the water on before you get in. The standing water is most likely to have bacteria & a face full is not good.
2. If you suffer from dry eyes/blepharitis, facing the shower for 15 secs with your face in the stream will help. Important for computer users

Famously, of course, all we learn of Mr Darcy’s appearance is that he is tall.
And Lizzy has fine eyes.

And the more they rant about RW conspiracy theories, the less their younger relatives want to visit.
It’s a tragic loneliness feedback loop.
Builders all over the UK are celebrating
A neighbour had a tiny leak that went unnoticed for years until one day her wood flooring lifted. The entire screeded ground floor was sodden.
The insurance company rehomed them while the leak was located & repaired the house dried out, plaster, flooring & fitted furniture replaced. Took 9 months.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "You don't choose the book, the book chooses you." I'm so glad this book chose me. I will remember this wonderful story, always.

The Graham Greene book that affected me the most was Gun for Sale.
A book that recognised an assassin is not a badass alpha but a desperate often lonely little man.
Doesn’t everyone just use the kindle app on their phone?
It’s routinely my most used app and stops me getting hung up on doomscrolling.
A broken heart, a cosy cottage & a recipe for starting over. Why not run away with Rosie this weekend? #books 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊

My personal take:
if you’re going to watch a movie as a communal event expect questions & comments.
If you’re going to want silence, watch it alone.
You guessed it. I’m the questioner in your scenario.
Braiding Sweetgrass, by Robin Wall Kimmerer.
It’s way better than it sounds.
THANK YOU to every one of my readers!!
Found out yesterday that Around the World in 80 Trains has sold almost 122,000 copies since it came out. At a time when non-fiction is taking a hit and book buying is slowing, I’ve never been more encouraged to carry on with the craft. Thank you again. 😍
So, I wrote a steamy book... Well okay, it's still closed door and has no spice, but there IS steam ... and smut (from the coal) ...

For any neurotypical reading this, please realise that just because a person behaves in a way that doesn’t align with your idea of social norms (eg. the right amount of eye contact), it doesn’t mean they can’t be a true & loyal friend.
For any Americans who may not realise it, Hungary chose to join the EU and those bureaucrats in Brussels.
The EU is not an occupying force. You can leave, as the UK did, if you’re prepared to accept the financial hit (we lost £90billion/yr).

I’m just going to quietly sneak in and leave this here as a suggestion, especially if you have a whole house to do eventually:
Can I just point out that half of the population are women. Even when we are winning, we are losing.

jacindaardern 5h Where has this year gone?! Hard to believe that in just two short months, “What If You Could” will be coming out. When I wrote my memoir I told a friend that, in part, it was aimed at my fourteen-year-old self. I never quite imagined having the opportunity to work with @rubyreadwrite and a group of amazing publishers to have it adapted into a book aimed specifically at young people. But here it is, and I couldn’t be more excited. It will be released in the first week of June in the US (with the red, white and blue cover), the UK (with the orange cover), and of course New Zealand and Australia (the yellow and black cover!) If I can convince just one young person in this chaotic and difficult world that they can make a difference (just as they are), then this book will have been worth creating.
I love her #NZPol

‘I bought a bunch of secondhand books at a senior center recently’
That’s right there is a tragedy in a line.
Someone died.
Their family didn’t want their stuff.
