Will winter ever leave Ontario? Maybe, but not this weekend. Sighhhhhh
I’m sorry! It’s so hard to keep up with so many social media feeds!
Yep! We get some weird precip this time of year
And so it begins …
Out hunting waterspouts today - Long Point out on Lake Erie.
A sad day. Jane Goodall passed away at 91.
When I got her to sign this, I fanboyed so hard I could barely speak. 🤦😁
Hobbes loves leaf season. So many things to roll in
Fires in cottage country, Ontario are getting unsettling - one south of my cottage is still not under control. Please take fire bans seriously!
Since severe weather no longer happens in southern Ontario, it’s time for a night concert. It’s space and stargazing themed!
Smoke is getting bad here in cottage country. This may become more and more just a part of summers in Canada.
This was interesting as well...the underside of the updraft of the Mitchell storm had a number of these areas of rotation (anti-cyclonic here). But no prominent cyclonic rotation. Normal speed, BTW. #ONstorm
So much fuel! Lots and lots of heat and moisture in the air in southern Ontario today. We might just see some significant thunderstorms … finally. @weathernetwork.bsky.social
Oh man! I missed you! Tell me you’re coming to Guelph at some point!
Here we go again. And again, and maybe again. Storms on the way for Southern Ontario this weekend.
Absolutely gorgeous shelf last night near Windsor.
Air quality in the GTA - baaaad. Masks on if you’re doing anything strenuous outside today. @weathernetwork.bsky.social
Power outages reported roughly along the path of rotation - hopefully due to lightning and not tornado damage... #ONstorm
MRMS low-level rotation track - actually started well over Lake Erie. Hard to imagine it would be a surface-based supercell this time of year when the water is still quite cold. #ONstorm
Whoa! Shelf! Or a roll cloud…. Near Sarnia
Why’s the sun weird?! The simple answer if you’re in southern Ontario: smoke.
Heads up Canada and parts of the US! Aurora potential is high tonight. Like, could be spectacular
Oooooo! Dust devil!
Yuuuuck. Cold lows are just grey and rain and cold. @weathernetwork.bsky.social
One guess as to where the centre of the low is! Very cool.
Not bad, but it’s going to get a lot stronger as the line heads towards Eastern Ontario… @weathernetwork.bsky.social
Here comes the line! In Guelph now
Some sky fireworks last night! Caught the line of storms near Kitchener Waterloo at about 3 am.
You can see the branches being ripped off the trees north of Guelph in the line of storms earlier this afternoon. @weathernetwork.bsky.social
