A landscape view along a grassy rural canal towpath as it curves gently to the right towards an arched stone bridge in the distance. Trees frame the left of the towpath, the canal lies to its right, and on the far bank, partially visible between trees is an old single story building with a central bay with a pointed roof running parallel to the canal, and two end bays with pointed roofs and triangular gables facing the canal. The now glazed former platform shelter has been converted to a veranda.
A glimpse of times past — now heavily altered to become the dream home for a railway fan, hints of the distinctive MGWR architectural style survive in the former Lucan North station on the hill high above #Lucan village on the banks of a rural stretch of the #RoyalCanal.
