A portrait-oriented telephoto view of the triangular top of a church spire almost silhouetted against a dark blue dusk sky with a single very bright ‘star’ next to it. The spire is tall and sender, taking almost the entire height of the frame to taper to a point. The spire is arranged vertically about a third of the way in from the left, and the ‘star’ (Venus) sits in the upper-right of the image. A band of cloud frames the top of the scene, and the top of a street-lit hedgerow the bottom.
This shot of Venus setting next to the spire of the St. Patrick's College #Maynooth chapel deep in dusk was a learning opportunity — I had no idea the image processing pipeline in the iPhone 17 ProMax had been upgraded to extend night mode across all lenses, including the 8x telephoto!
