One suggestion to consider: the “Add-ons” that include “but” still signal a negating of the statement said beforehand…replacing “but” with “and” would make it feel more like an extension of the previous statement.

🔍 We saw our cohort of teachers & leaders who are committed to strengthening their Black math students' learning experiences (which ultimately supports all Ss).
🤝 They’re working intentionally to TRUST their students and to #letTHEMspeak.

💚 It is soo worth the time to work through to that “other side of fear” for students, so they can see themselves as capable doers of mathematics.

Agreed. Our ultimate goal should be to make independent learners and thinkers of our students. We can’t constantly do all the thinking for them. We have to trust that they can process on their own and put them in positions to do so. Thx again for sharing your image & for reading. (edited ☺️)
