But, like, the movie JUST made a point of showing us that there are six little kids sitting in her waiting room who have it too. Who are all WAY further down the path to enlightenment than Neo is.

You’d think with the clocks and the checkerboard floor the place would exude some character. But nope, the overwhelming griege of it all just sucks everything down into itself.
And this is part of why the sequels were SO disappointing.
They sidelined and undermined that key three-way relationship, which was what we all ACTUALLY loved about this movie, even if we couldn't articulate it.
