Allegedly some places sell them… just never any grocery store I’ve ever been to. Ever.

The Supreme Court ruled corporations were allowed to donate unlimited amounts to politicians in 2010.

It only took them 6 years to take complete control of the government and 15 years to mark sure their voices are the only ones the masses ever hear again.

Gorgeous. That scape height and branching is impressive 😍

Here are my 2024 daylily crosses just waiting for spring. The ones in larger pots are some crosses from 2023 that needed some special attention after getting overrun by Bermuda grass in the garden. #daylily #Hemerocallis #hybridization #fourseasongardening #ditchlilyfarms

Okay #Stellantis someone on your design team must have a modular shelving fetish. It’s the only explanation. #ramtrucks

Daylily seedling in a plastic pot. The bloom is malformed and has missing petals. The color is a pleasant orange with a yellow midrib and petals have a ruffled edge.

That time I wasn’t paying attention to my seedling trays and accidentally let a four month old daylily bloom. It subsequently died. Fortunately I have several other seedlings from this cross (‘Beautiful Edgings’ x ‘Double Bourbon’) that I can evaluate in the coming years #daylily #hybridizing

Oh wow. I had no idea… I just always assumed the girl in the meme was the British girl from Ellen. That is so tragic.

I’ll try to get my hands on a fulva ’Korean’. I read Brian Reeder’s article on them just now and its traits are definitely something I’d like to have access to in my breeding program. Well, program is a strong word just yet lol. But I’ll get there.

I’d love to get my hands on more species and older varieties for that same reason.

What’s one of your favorite crosses this year?

Ah yes, ‘Stella de Oro’. I loved them until I realized that’s the only variety you see anywhere in public. That doesn’t stop me from hybridizing with it occasionally hoping to get some of those long blooming genetics 🤣

Im hoping for luck out of Night Beacon x Creature of the Night. What worries me though is CotN has very weak scapes that have to be staked. I didn’t get many seeds from this cross so I’m not getting my hopes up

One of this year’s crosses that I’m most excited about is Orange Smoothie x Lake Norman Sunset
