Ceramic Casualty this evening. I’ve had this drawing started for 4? Years but never finished it. Decided to finish it tonight and picked it up by the neck, which was such a dumb move. Shattered the neck off and damaged the foot. I guess into the trash it goes! Such is life in clay. 😭

Cautionary Tale of homeownership/art storage. Make sure you don’t have sentimental artwork stored on the floor of your garage, in case of flash flooding. You know, cause it’s paper…. Everything from my college anatomy work to some of my earliest furry drawings from middle school are soaked….

Second Midwest weather moment this week; Tornado warning going nearly directly at my mom, call her to take cover. As soon as she knew she was in the clear, she goes outside and takes a photo of the lowering in the storm/possible tornado. Thanks mom. 🤣

In true Midwest weather fashion… I’m outside taking pictures of product and realize I’m losing my lighting. Look at the radar, there’s tornado warning off to our west, and we’re under a tornado watch now. We weren’t supposed to get basically any storms today! 🙄

There’s a few recognizable ones in there, most were people I was friends with or admired! And of course my old sona is the top left, Sunny!

This year's #kakapo breeding season has been the biggest on record:
- 256 eggs (252 in 2019)
- 148 fertile eggs (116 in 2019)
- 105 eggs hatched (86 in 2019).
It'll be 2+ months until we know how many chicks will fledge (73 in 2019). There are currently 95 alive. #conservation #kakapo2026 #birds

Kakapo Gryphon! 💚🦜💚

I’m so so so in love with how @keesh.work did Tilly! The Richard Scarry books at my grandparents house were some of my favorites growing up!

A first glimpse of #kakapo chick Whetu-A3, about a day old and unreachable in Whetu’s nest in a hollow rata tree. In the last week about 16 chicks have hatched on Pukenui and Whenua Hou. #kakapo2026 #conservation #wildlife #birds
