Honesty is like garlic, everybody always says there's no such thing as too much then all of a sudden nobody wants to finish their spaghetti and I've "ruined dinner again"

Sentimental Moment or Why Did the Baguette Cross the Road?

Don't fill up on bread
I say absent-mindedly
The servings here are huge

My son, whose hair may be
receding a bit, says
Did you really just
say that to me?

What he doesn't know
is that when we're walking
together, when we get
to the curb
I sometimes start to reach
for his hand

—Robert Hershon

This wrecks me—every single time.

Very sad to hear the news that Colin Renfrew has passed away. Colin was not only a giant of prehistoric archaeology, but a great friend to Orkney, including being Honorary President of Orkney Archaeology Society. Our very best wishes to Jane and family at this sad time, he will be very much missed.
