I literally bought it on a whim years ago and often keep coming back to it. it WILL make you feel things, as you learn not only about other people's experiences (he does look at quite a few queer artists as examples!) but also his own creation process of writing a memoir about his later daughter

he touches upon how depicting yourself in your own art can give a different flow and feel, visual metaphors and the like, so I think it could come in handy as almost a scaffolding while you gather ideas from others 🥰

The guardian

He has a similar coloring, with darker brown on his face, back, and tail. They both have white whiskers. The coloring and cats pose are reminiscent of a loaf of bread.
