This week's #showmeyourknits prompt is cardigans! This is my stashbusting Marled Mania cardigan that kept on growing ๐Ÿ˜‚ I wear it more as a coat in the spring and fall.
Pattern: Marled Mania by Stephen West
Yarn: Stash busting with lots of unlabeled MadelineTosh and some Rowan Kidsilk Haze

I love these colors together! At first glance, I thought "chainmail." You must have an off-the-shoulder chainmail sweater!

And how much did THAT cost? Getting rid of governmental waste, eh?

Even though you can't edit once it's posted, you can delete it and repost with your tags, etc.

We saw Julie & Julia at Stitch 'n Flix at The Academy of Music today. Bogey was kind enough to model my WIP in the lobby!

I belong to three informal knitting/craft groups at the moment, lol. One is monthly, one biweekly, and one weekly. I'm also meeting up with a knitting friend whenever we can at Barnes & Noble and local coffee shops. I used to knit asking, but I'm finding comfort in the camaraderie.

TOPICAL knitting fact of the day...
Prisoners of war in Nazi camps were put to work knitting socks for officers. They intentionally would do additional decreases in the heels, so that the socks would ALWAYS rub and give the officers blisters. They would also make sure that one of the socks had loose ribbing so the officers would spend all day having their sock fall off in their boot.
A spy called Alexis Casadagli, took up needlework and almost all of his work has
"Fuck Hitler" in morse code.

Today I went to Stitch & Flix, where a local theater showed Dirty Dancing to a crowd of 100ish knitters, and it was FABULOUS. ๐Ÿงถ
