Oh dip! Hopefully I can sneak away from the Faceball booth for this!
Jeremy Parish & Kate Willaert: Metroid + ’Vania: The Greatest Genre at 40 2:00 pm – 2:50 pm, Panels and Presentations The two most prominent (or at least loudest) chroniclers of Metroidvania history look back at the genre on this landmark anniversary. Why was 1986 such a watershed moment? What the first “true” metroidvania? And why do people keep trying to make the name “search action” a thing?
Kate Willaert: The Forgotten Decade: Historically Important Arcade Games Of The '70s 3:45 pm – 4:15 pm, Video Game Stage Every gaming documentary begins the same way: There was Pong, there was Space Invaders, and then the ’80s happened. Is it true that nothing else important of note happened in the arcade in the ’70s? Or have a number of early, foundational arcade games become forgotten because they’re un-emulatable, and as a result inaccessible? We’ll tell you all about the Top 5 most important arcade games of the ’70s that weren’t Pong or Space Invaders. Kate will be joined by Alexander Smith of They Create Worlds, Ethan Johnson of Play History, and Nathaniel Lockhart of Memory Machine.
This is going to be so cool!

Thank you everyone for the successful initial launch of Dizzy Sheep Disaster: EX!
I’m curious, would there be interest in a run of cards for the Japanese Card e-Reader+? Let me know with a like or reply!
I still have EN copies in the stock!

Read your post and didn't think of baseball. :(
This is such an infinity cool project and restoration of something I'd be absolutely shocked if even Nintendo Co. Ltd. still has a working setup of. It's a shame they're so overly protective of their IP - it'd be amazing if they still had copies of the missing footage (and the JPN language copies?)
Hi folks! Last year I came into possession of some film reels from Wild Gunman (1974) by Nintendo, and felt it was my destiny to play the game.

I just looked. the Game Gear's TV Tuner has an A/V input on it. So we could just plug straight into it. 🤣
Anyone going to Midwest Gaming Classic next weekend want to make this happen and have a GBA TV tuner.
Or, hell... a Game Gear and Game Gear TV Tuner... 🤣🤣🤣
We still don't have the 100 player version working...

It's a "off-brand" Hori Game Boy Player controller. Not quite Hori Quality, but also no where near Hori price. 🤣
Can't stop, won't stop. 🤣
Man, now I can play my Game Boy games on a tiny, black and white, portable screen. If you had told me I'd be doing this 30 years ago. I never would have believed you.

Kinda like the government... 🤪
I mean, sure. So glad that overpriced concert tickets is where our federal government is focusing on. Not like there's a hundred other burning fires all over.
Most passenger trains have WiFi nowadays. Should still work.
🤪
Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m flattered!
It’s been a pleasure chatting with you and I’m excited to see the video!
I’ve had the honor of playing Dizzy Sheep Disaster myself. It’s weird to say there is a “best GBA e-Reader home brew game”, but this is probably the best GBA e-Reader home brew game.
Huge video with reviews and interviews coming soon!
I’ve sold through about half of the games that I’ve printed up so far, not bad for day one! I just packed up all the orders made today, and they’ll be on their way tomorrow.
Thank you to everyone who bought a copy at launch!
You should read Kelsey’s book! Not only is it great but also I’m in it
If you are an Animal Crossing player...please read this book. I loved it and I was an ACNH convert, so the context of all that came before it was super interesting and well written by the highly entertaining and also generally excellent @kelslewin.bsky.social
Sarah's a good friend making cool shit, go buy!!!
It is time! Dizzy Sheep Disaster: EX is now available for purchase for your Nintendo E-Reader! Here's the store link: store.nes.science
It contains 30 puzzles to test your reflexes and skills!
I'm so excited to share this with the world!

Apparently this fell into a few spam boxes :(
If anyone on the list got bitten by this reach out, I'll make sure you get a copy!
