Just saw A real pain and loved it. Such a clever concept and beautifully realised. Great casting. A perfect road movie. Those who don’t like the F bomb give it a wide berth.

Caspar painting in the style of Monet? Lots of greenery and figures glimpsed by a stream.

The Friary front door- original building history from website is as follows “records suggest that the main house was built on the site in 1924 using sections of an 1890s house at Toowong called Glen Olive (designed by Richard Gailey in 1890 as his family home and later sold to Dr Sandford Jackson). In 1932, Fr Robert Bartlett Bates, Rector of All Saints Wickham Terrace, purchased the property. He opened St John's Home for Aged Men which later relocated to West Toowong. Then in 1934, he opened St Christopher's Lodge for Boys, a farm school for orphaned or disadvantaged boys. Fr Bates was the Principal and Founder of this school as well as continuing his duties as Rector of All Saints Wickham Terrace.”

Old Friary hallway. Caspar’s painting is currently hanging up on right hand side. He used to do art classes here as a kid.

Great to see one of Caspar’s paintings hanging in the hallway of Kenmore Bridge Clubs’s new temporary home at the Old Friary. Lovely to see some of our members quilts up there too. They will help to baffle noise #bridge #Kenmore #Brookfield www.friary.org.au/about-the-ol...

Practice practice practice seems to be key like learning any new technique. I like the idea of treating it like an intern and the importance of iterative dialogue.
