This year I was part of a powerful line-up of speakers at a conference that shaped my career and service. #CCDA held its national conference in Grand Rapids a few weeks ago, but I'm still processing the opportunity I was given on November 6th to share my story and the work of New City Neighbors.

I don't mind the cold or snow of West Michigan, but I wish I had scheduled more than one beach day this year. I was just deleting files to make room for storage on my phone when I found these pics. Winter won't last forever and there are more outdoorsy days to come.

Last night, I submitted the final draft of my manuscript to my editor at Pilgrim Press. After working together for several weeks, it's finally going into the copy edit stage of publishing. This feels good. #writer
