If it really is that bad you can fix it in post BUT you are in the manuscript length danger zone re: believing everything sucks so it's probably fine, actually

I am extremely fond of the terms frogging (to pull out a large section or the whole of a knitting project) and tinking (to work backwards stitch by stitch, typically to correct an error)

#QueerPrompts I like to tell geographically contained stories—small towns, manor houses, holiday resorts, university campuses, etc. I always want locations to feel as though you could step into them so I keep them compact to facilitate that.

And because of the way it handles files you can put all three parts of a high fantasy epic in the one place without it becoming unmanageable/slow to load! It has more helpful bells and whistles than one person could ever use but they don't get in the way, either. Perfect program 🥰

#QueerPrompts I describe weather if it's relevant/as scene-setting/as a window into a character's emotional state as is usual in fiction but my favourite use of weather descriptions is to juxtapose a character experiencing beautiful weather and also the worst 15 minutes of their day/life.

I'm sure* Future Cecil will be disciplined about chipping away at this scene while writing the rest of the book so as not to be slowed down by not being in the mood to write smut today

*I am not at all sure of this, I am nearly certain of the opposite in fact 😅

Stealing d-hurty to talk about pain levels

Once again sobbing over a queer history book's introduction (Peter Ackroyd's Queer City which has been on my TBR for almost a decade because I knew it would make me cry).

My portable writing setup is just phone + bluetooth keyboard and I used to write a novel a month with it so possibly worth adding a keyboard for speed if you don't have one? I do not get any particular extra writing value from my laptop (though it is useful for editing and research)
