Last year DfE announced an 80% cut in biology bursary - this week @tesmagazine.bsky.social highlights the impact these cuts are having on a number of subjects. I was pleased to be able to provide some insight from @rsb.org.uk on the impact for biology and science teaching in England.

RSB urges investment and subject-specific support in Welsh science education reform The Royal Society of Biology (RSB) has called for targeted investment, robust data, and long-term planning to ensure the success of ongoing education reforms in Wales.

Last week, the RSB presented evidence at the @senedd.wales‬ Children, Young People and Education Committee along with @rsc.org‬ and ‪@instituteofphysics.bsky.social‬ urging the need for action to tackle the challenges currently facing science teaching and recruitment.
