Taken during one of my first two trips to Iceland. Hardly anyone ever speaks of the snow covered peaks and light conditions of that place.

A striking nighttime view of Kīlauea volcano in Hawaii, its fiery heart glowing with immense power and radiance. At the center of the scene is the volcano’s caldera, where molten lava churns and glows in intense hues of orange, yellow, and gold. The light is so vivid that it illuminates the surrounding crater walls, casting them in deep shades of red and warm amber. The volcanic rock is rugged and uneven, its textures emphasized by the play of light and shadow. Wisps of steam rise from the caldera’s edges, swirling softly into the night sky, creating a hazy, ethereal effect that softens the stark outlines of the crater. Above the caldera, the night sky glows with fiery gradients, transitioning from a searing orange near the eruption to softer pinks and purples that blend into the darkness. Love this Scott. I've only been to that waterfall once and didn't climb down but I'll maybe give it a go next time. It did look like a precarious clamber down to that position!!
