When people ask what the war is about- answer is simple money & oil- its always about oil.
In Iraq, what was our first objective- an oil field. 😠
Before the war we had a 1-3 million barrel/day surplus and now we have a shortage with high prices/profits. Hmmmmm.

Shame on the Republican pawns Rep Hageman/Sen Cruz who prostituted themselves to #fossilfuelindustry
Must be nice to not care about anyone else but yourself and shrug responsibility.

1/3 of air pollution premature deaths come from indoor air pollution.
Globally, cook stoves disproportionately expose women/children to this #climatehealth hazard.
#cleancooktops like #inductionstovetops can replace natural gas to lessen indoor #airpollution.

The Trump administration’s scorched-earth approach treats people as expendable and puts the power of the federal government behind boosting corporate profits while putting zero value–literally–on human lives. We are NOT expendable and will continue to fight back.

Is it sketchy that oil production was 1-3 million barrels/day surplus to bombing Iran and now with 30-40% production reduction leading to a 11 million barrel/day shortage and high prices? Seems like a great way to stimulate profits #BigOil
Good news is bigger interest in #EVs
War still sucks
Had two heat related illnesses in kids yesterday 1. Asthma exacerbation that heat triggers 2. Headache and vomiting because lived with no AC unit.
Asthma, respiratory illness, cardiovascular, kidney disease are all worse with heat.
Sucks to care for sick kids from our fossil fuel addiction
23 years ago I was in a different desert #Iraq with a different purpose
Thankful for all my brothers, those that came home & those I keep in my heart.
From someone who has been to war, it sucks & I don’t wish it on anyone
I pray for those who lives are affected by those whose lives are not
#tucson this is ridiculous #heat
Breaking a 100 year record sometimes is bad
Why? Consumption of those damn #fossilfuels
We are addicts of the fossil fuel
energy infrastructure.
Good news is we now have 340 homes in #virtualpowerplants it has doubled in just 6 months
Treating the addiction!
@sameerhalai.bsky.social Thank you for all your work to create www.ph.app
I recommend this to my patients to find a place shelter from #extremeheat or learn about #publichealth issues in their community.
Share with friends & patients as great resilency resource for all of us.

Imagine the differences in #extremeheat & #airpollution in our cities if we switched from #fossilfuel based transportation to #electricbuses
Besides the #climatehealth benefits of less respiratory & cardiovascular illness, it saves money, & everyone loves money.

Day 7 we discussed race, climate & health- very connected!
#Colonialism led to the #castesystem led to racial inequities in wealth, investment in communities and health.
#Structuredracism in a plantation economy was magnified by redlining led to worse #climatehealth outcomes that persist today.

Yesterday great sharing of stories about food, one that stood out was a Turkish children’s lesson of finishing all your food especially the bread made from dough. If you didn’t the Doughy bread monster would haunt you in your dreams! Yikes
