It was an honor to read Scars & Scribes.
As a veteran myself, I can see the author pulling back the curtain of war. So the reader can peer inside the mindset of the soldier

Let Johnson’s prose wash over you, it is a refreshing interval from such heavily detailed fiction that doesn’t dare to be different. With echoes of Jaspar Fforde and dare I say, Pratchett, this is one world for die hard fans and those with an appetite for something different.
