In Defense of Snow Days Inconvenient? Yep. Unpredictable? Sure. Disruptive? Yes. But a snow day is also a minor civic miracle, and we ought to treat it as such.

"It is good to enjoy, for one day you did nothing to cause and nothing to earn, the gift of being nothing but alive and happy in the beautiful world." Forget "remote learning." Everyone - even adults - should enjoy an occasional snow day.

My student is studying AuD students' perspectives of DEI in their AuD programs.

Participants must be current AuD students OR have graduated in 2020 or later.

Looking for postlingually deafened CI adults, aged 18-70 years old, who live in the US, and liked music before implantation for a research study. Participants must also have a listening partner (Friend, significant other). Study takes 8 weeks and will be online. Details in flier.

Also just wrote a very long message to my very Republican representative. I have a feeling I will be writing him MANY letters/emails for a long time.

It's going to be interesting in my aural rehab class when we talk about legislation, Disability rights movement, and accommodations. Told my students we have to talk about them, be aware of them, and I have no idea what's coming down the pipeline.
