If you dont want problems with ai being used for impersonation or infringement dont allow it to train on data that can specifically be used for that… full stop

Putting some law after the fact on something that is trained on work that can be used maliciously wont fix the problem

However, out of the 4 clauses they take into consideration when it comes to using copyrighted material you can only really argue that maybe 2 of them it might be considered fair use and theyre not very strong arguments either…

In terms of legality we actually have copyright laws… ironically you can look through the clauses for fair use in the us and decide if ai is covered and its not really an obvious answer because like all things its up to court’s discretion.

I never said they dont share rough similarities my argument is that you cant treat them the same in a legal or ethical standard just because ai is “kind of” emulating one small process the human mind does.
