I've ot a murder to solve. Something has killed a bee and then stuck its carcass to the end of a young lavender plants leaf. And by stuck, I mean it's pretty blustery today and that bee ain't going anywhere. So far the culprit is yet to reveal themselves, any ideas folks? #UKNature #wildlife #Nature
On the plus side, that does free up other flowers for smaller folk, like this hoverfly 😀
Cherry and crabapple blossom, smells great and it's humming with all sorts of bees. So much so that they're pretty much ignoring all the other flowers in the garden and my patio is silent, which feels unusual lol

Yeah, I watched a really large bumlbe bee doing it to my runner beans one year. I tried to explain to it that it wasn't helping with pollination, but it wasn't really interested in my concerns 😆

PS, defrosted frozen sprouts (or any other defrosted greens) are similar to precooked and great for make things like bubble and squeak. Those and some with ready made 'carrot, swede and potato mash' (available from most suppermarkets), plus some diced onion and frozen peas and you're there
