Grants of up to £1,600 are available to support the professional development of nurses, care and support workers/assistants working in adult social care settings across the UK.

2/3 Since then, the team have shared the research, spoken at events, undertaken further research and even won an award for their work!
Recently, Nicola has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (RHS) in recognition of her contribution to historical scholarship – a huge achievement!
1/3 In 2021, Nicola and her colleagues received a Monica Baly Grant to undertake research exploring early nurses and midwives accused of witchcraft in Scotland between 1563–1736, shedding light on the criminal injustices they faced and highlighting their work with the sick and women in childbirth.
