the first time I played mgs2 (my first metal gear game) i beat it in a single 13 hour sitting that ended at like 3am

im not, though I have a friend who is. I actually first learned about it from 999 lol
(though I will be taking care to not frame the face blindness as the *cause* of his awfulness)
happy to hear! though fair warning, the main character is very much an awful person, so it's. definitely not going to be positive affirming representation or anything like that.
more NPC variants. screenshot stuesday i guess.

A twintailed Kaibutsu from .flow. Static covers her face with blood dripping at the top. Behind her are posters with teeth or eye imagery.
going through tumblr trying to find an old video which means coming across my old art i thought was gone or impossible to find. might as well post some since i doubt most have seen it

random game idea of the evening:
"dead letter dept"-esque busywork horror game where you play as a credit card scammer typing in card numbers
If you're confused about exactly how decentralised/decentralisable Bluesky is and what that means, here's a great not-too-long-or-intense article about it
(it's not decentralised)

just posting too much, especially in e.g. other peoples' discord servers (that aren't just like friend group servers), the only times I've done cold DMs are asking for advice from other gamedevs as opposed to active promotion
so, i'm an indie game dev, or at least trying to be. i'm making stuff with godot. im playing with my touys.
fellow more experienced devs: how do you get the stuff you make in front of people's eyes without coming off as a tasteless shill.
i had this experience a few days ago when i dug out a 13-year-old gaming laptop from high school, running windows 8 off a hybrid sshd. not only did it boot right up but it booted way faster than my modern gaming pc with an nvme drive.
thank god im switching to linux soon.
to him they're like ants under a magnifying glass
(placeholder test level, NPCs mostly implemented but need more variations)

A screenshot of a youtube video called "3/4 Walk-cycle tutorial" by "Gabe the animator", showing how to animate a 3/4ths character (in this case Michaelangelo from TMNT) in Toon Boom.
gabe the animator, whoever you are, if you're out there, you are my savior
your 6 year old toonboom animation tutorial video was unbelievably helpful for animating 3/4ths view characters with 2d skeletons in godot
praise be. amen

A screenshot of a sniper scope view of a sidewalk, targeting a person in silhouette with distorted eyes. The main character is superimposed in the corner in white, depicted sitting while holding his rifle.
a screenshot of a laptop screen, depicting a browser called "anion" with a grungy aesthetic.
haven't formally announced it yet cause i wanna get further along, but i'm working on a deduction game where you play a faceblind sniper, cross referencing information between the internet and your scope view to deduce who your target is
happy trans day of visibility!!
sometimes there's bad days, especially these days
but every day is a good day to be yourself.
live forever <3
Reasons you need to play anthology of the killer.
1- makes you laugh and cry like family guy
2-no better game to define the 2000s political landscape
3-makes you feel like histories an ocean of blood were slowly drowning in
4-hot weirdo women
5-BB
btw i hyperfocused so hard working on this that I forgot I ordered pizza and left it outside for an hour.
etto... bweh!

There's one week left before the first annual SOUPJAM starts!
You don't even need to be a game dev to join. There are tools available that let anyone make SOUP. All you need to bring is your own creativity and curiosity.
Come join the kitchen and make some SOUP!

obvious with explanation feels the best to me, makes it very clear what is and is not intended, but i am also the kind of person who fears ambiguity and overexplains things so i may be biased
