We are not the first people, or the first country, to suffer under a tyrannical government that does not respect our lives, or our rights.
There is a method for how to effectively resist, and eventually topple, such a regime. We can learn from others who came before us.
This is my favorite guide.

Recently, I took on a role as Senior Editor @ Neuroscience, an IBRO affiliated journal. With the current climate threatening science & education, I am glad to continue promoting the scientific process, particularly for early career researchers. Please send us your great work! ibro.org/meet-prof-ke...
“Screaming. A million mouths screaming but also laughing the sky will bleed and there shall be a great flensing a burning away of the flesh it is coming there is no way to stop what is coming.”
If you’re a federal govt employee targeted for leave or termination on the basis of your DEI work, please file an EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) complaint & retain legal counsel.
I’m a former NIH PI. Happy to refer you to a law firm that has successfully sued the govt many times!

This is a formality because history teaches us exactly whose schools get closed, but here are the demographics of Excel High School:
My dudes, turn this shit off. On iOS it's under Settings > Apps > Photos > scroll all the way down.
This is fantastic news!
FYI bsky tells me you can’t me messaged
Why am I still seeing Santa showing up at public schools?
For general reading, I prefer san serif fonts. But it makes sense to me that users should be able to customize app settings based on their own preferences.
As a chem teacher I got tired of screaming into void about needing a font to distinguish the Arabic number one, a lower case L, an upper case i, and a Roman numeral one, so I made this:

If you hydrate them in liquid with universal indicator in they can be used as little pH meters.
Kiddos mix colourless liquids and add a bead... so pretty.
Introduction to Modeling Methods Jan 5 - Mar 9 Sunday evenings 4:00 - 7:00 PM EST Register today at bit.ly/IntroModSpring25
Join @eburns2.bsky.social and me this January to learn about how Modeling Instruction can transform your science teaching! We will see Modeling in action, discuss science pedagogy, and join a community of educators who love talking about student-centered learning🎢 🧪🧬🍎
#bospoli starter pack!
Authentic community engagement is trickier! I run demo-based projects twice a year and there are a small number of topics that students might see relevant to their own culture or community (food and arts seem to have the best crossover).
I generally find that making a public product (project involving a presentation, poster, video, etc) gives students more ownership and pride. For day-to-day work, whiteboard presentations can be useful but don’t always fit the bill.
It’s a great project – there’s a whole crowd-sourced spreadsheet of indicators and colours here from @crocodilechemi1.bsky.social: docs.google.com/spreadsheets...
#gardenindicators is new to me - so excited to dig in!
An array of dyed fabric swatches show color differences at neutral, low, and high pH ranges. Dye sources include cochineal, turmeric, madder, annatto, purple corn, and red cabbage.

Chemistry and art: Students are investigating the effect of pH on dye color. I’m obsessed with the bright orange from annatto seeds!
