A screenshot from the Enthalpy Calculations Quiz on ChemQuiz.net shows two example problems for calculating bond enthalpy values: "What is the enthalpy change (∆H) in kJ/mol for orthosilicic acid when its bonds are formed? The bond enthalpy values are: D(Si-O) = 368 kJ/mol; D(O-H) = 467 kJ/mol" and "What is the enthalpy of reaction (∆Hrxn) in kJ/mol for this reaction? The bond enthalpy values are D(N#N) = 945 kJ/mol; D(O=O) = 498 kJ/mol"

If all other physical properties of the system remain constant, in which direction will the reaction be shifted as a result of this change?"

Designing deltahedra as models for #chemed #STEMed.
Trying to find "good" nets.
While there are 2 distinct nets for the tetrahedron, apparently there are 43380 for the icosahedron!
It seems easier to assemble nets that wrap, than more condensed variants. 🧪 #SciArt #iteachchem

I'm trying to code a lab report in MyOpenMath for a lab determining the heat of solvation of a salt. The instructions calculate total heat change of the process as:

1) q_Total = q_h2o + q_sel

q_h2o/q_sel get calculated the spec. heats of pure H2O/pure salt, their masses, and delta-T
