Digital drawing in white ink against a black background of a sweet donkey in profile facing left. Only their head and neck are visible and their short, upright mane is "dyed" the pink, blue and white of the trans pride flag.

Almost time for #TransArtMay, which is a thing I made up where I draw mostly animals of all kinds with the trans pride flag colors incorporated in some fashion.

What kinds of creatures would you like to see? Insects, fish, birds, mammals, invertebrates etc welcome! I could use ideas, help me out?

Great work! Even when a #mentalhealth service is responsible for a region it seems to accept that many services will not be available to those #youngpeople who live rurally within.that.region.
What drives this?

How Location Is Shaping Young People’s Mental Health Nearly 1 in 3 young Australians live outside of major cities. Yet for many of these young people, accessing mental health support is significantly harder.

Nearly 1 in 3 young Aussies live outside major cities yet many face greater barriers to #mentalhealth support.

For some, help is hours away & others, it doesn’t feel accessible.

Next week, young people will share their experiences in their own words.

Here’s the truth of it. Trump’s lunatic threats of war crimes committed against the Iranian PEOPLE won’t change a thing. They will only start WWIII. We must take away grandpa’s car keys. And we must do it NOW.

I*lEThe friendship between Canada and the Netherlands is very close and goes back a long way. The Canadians played a crucial role in liberating our country. And more than a million people with Dutch roots live in Canada. We work together closely in the international arena, for example within NATO and in supporting Ukraine.
This afternoon I had an introductory phone conversation with Prime Minister @MarkJCarney.
We both have many serious concerns about the war in Iran and its impact on the region and the wider world. Along with our international partners, we are monitoring the situation closely and seeking solutions. At the same time, we remain fully focused on the war in Ukraine. During the call we also discussed opportunities to expand our cooperation in the areas of security, the defence industry, energy and trade.

I've heard a few times lately that a solution to being overwhelmed is to 'work on your boundaries'.

Hmm. It's obvsly a good thing to be self aware, but there's a big risk here of putting responsibility on exhausted individuals to mitigate the effects of knackered systems & relentless demands.

Excellent article:
'Normally in a vacuum, if you wrote an opinion piece calling for disabled people to have their support taken away from them to save money, instead of talking about actual problems with the system or taxing the fucking rich, you would rightfully be torn apart. /2

A political cartoon by Megan Herbert suggesting an urban landscape. In the right foreground is a heap of sandbags, beneath which is a crushed person, arms and leg protruding from beneath. The sandbags are labelled with various things: "Exploding Housing Costs", "Insurance Premium Rise", "Increased Energy Prices", "Grocery Price Gouging", "Council Rates Hike", and "Skyrocketing Fuel Costs". Dropping from the sky and about to land on top of the pile is a whopping sandbag labelled "Interest Rate Rise", having just been cut loose by a golden helicopter emblazoned with "RBA". RBA Governor Michele Bullock yells from the helicopter, "It was a very difficult decision!" while flying off towards a blue-skied horizon.

No free school lunch.
No child cancer research.

But those f*ckers have the audacity to set fire to $11 billion of our taxpayer funds by blowing up little Iranian girls???
