Dark-eyed junco looking towards the camera and perched on a branch. This little one came hopping in just after I put out fresh seeds and nuts.

Although many of the Dark-eyed juncos have migrated up north, this little one has decided to stay a little longer. Usually they are one of the first to arrive when breakfast seeds are ready.

A bloom from a Jane Magnolia (Magnolia liliiflora). A deep pink shade transitions to nearly white at the tips. There is a deep brown wooden fence blurred in the background.

Just a few weeks ago our Jane Magnolia (Magnolia liliiflora) started to bloom, signaling the return of spring. Today reached 92 F / 33.5 C. Spring was nice while it lasted.

Yellow-rumped Warbler perched on a twig. The twig is off of the suet log feeder I made a few months back.

"Didn't I see you once already for breakfast?" I said to this Yellow-rumped Warbler.

"Yes you did" it said, "but now this is second breakfast."
