an illustration emulating the harsh, bright light of an operating room. on the surgeon's "table" there is a birds eye view of a still-life styled scene. a cake and an oyster are laid on a silver platter : around them, a series of pills, syringes, and vials are nestled : common vessels for both masculinizing and feminizing HRT. surgical tools for hysterectomies, vaginoplasties, masectomies, breast augmentation, and phalloplasties surround the platter. in the lower right hand, a testicle and uterus with ovaries rival the cherries on the cake in their bright red hue. in the upper right hand corner, two porcelain figures in rococo style depict two transgender figures : though their white cast says nothing of their actual identity.
