So desperately sorry to hear this. Karen was so lovely when I asked you to modify one of your wonderful drawings for me. Very much thinking of you
Very much enjoying this selection, with loads of things I haven't previously found (my son has been converting me to Geese !). Thank you very much for taking the time to post.
Not to disagree with your general point but my brother has had these three published by Harper Collins since 2019 based on an original Desmond Bagley manuscript and then two sequels. He is not entirely forgotten !
Whittlesford church looking rather lovely in the late afternoon sun.
This is a proper service for those of us who are new to drone and becoming increasingly enthralled !
Extra brownie points scored as I cooked my wife's dinner to it ! Really excellent, and will explore the band further, thanks again !
Had never heard this....put it on because of your post....wondered what it was like (and liked the cover) absolutely loving it. Thank you,
14 months after busting my leg got round the #sheffieldhalfmarathon. Great race if you like that sort of thing (hill notwithstanding) - fabulous support.
There was a kids board game we played in the 60s where you got a reward for spotting a yellow-bellied sapsucker and I had also assumed that was a made-up name for the best part of 60 years. Lovely picture
I like the medieval drumkit at the back !
Such an unprepossessing location too, behind the petrol station where I had to get the church key...and then the doors open. Wonderful picture thank you
Things are usually a bit blurrier than that on New Year's Morning ! Happy New Year
Nigel Molesworth on A Christmas Carol. "There is something about the xmas Carol which makes paters and grown-ups read with grate XPRESION, and this is very embarassing for all."
It is once again that time of year when every Books Dad gets absolutely bodied by Molesworth.
Well Saffron Walden church is looking rather magnificent this morning.

Well that's ruined my Monday morning. Always The Oldest Member to aim for.
I can remember being at Trent Bridge in the 70s and seeing him trying to get up the ladder/stairs to the commentary box for a Sunday league game having clearly partaken of some refreshment ! Sadly I don’t get to Northants very often at all but it’s in the plan come retirement !
You have just inspired me to dig this out from the 1980s. What a writer ! Nice to come across another Northamptonian. I spent most of my school holidays in the 70s at the County Ground !
Well this is nice. My brother’s new book. Third in the series inspired by 70/80s thriller writer Desmond Bagley. Really enjoyed the first two !
No link to anything, other than my son is having an unexpected train trip (got on the wrong one !)...and I have already picked up some great music recommendations here. I Am The train by Ian Siegal is an absolutely fabulous blues song !
My big discovery of the past couple of years is Elif Shafak. Maybe everyone already knows her, but I certainly didn't. Lucked onto a 99p Kindle deal and have now read 4 or 5 and enjoyed them all.
I had heard of each separately, but not this...it's fantastic. thanks for pointing it out !
Blithering idiot alert: I have signed up to do three half marathons, starting in Cambridge in March to support my great friend and running mate Neil Perry's fabulous Romsey Mill charity...more info below and if you can help at all, that would be fab !

We are lying here twiddling our thumbs waiting for the kids (in their 20s) to GETUP so we can open some presents
Thanks Moose...think colouring in is reaching the limits of my artistic flair !

Border Collie trying to drink frozen puddle
It's a hard rain that's fallen for Kip the Wonderdog...bemused by why he can't drink the puddle.
I'm new here myself (any suggestions ?). Got a code this week after waiting a few months, so I wonder if they have just released a lot more codes ? Certainly seems a bit less angry here, so far. How nice.
