Day 19
Belushi died of an overdose 2 months after the film’s release making this his last performance. I’ve always been fascinated by this film and what was going on around it. I’ve also been wanting to read the source material for some time now.

Film production was plagued with issues. Belushi and Aykroyd switched parts during preproduction, made constant changes to Larry Gelbart’s screenplay, and tried to get John Landis to replace Avildsen as director. Meanwhile, Belushi’s drug abuse was spinning out of control.
