Happy Birthday to US!!! Let’s celebrate 3 WHOLE YEARS of riding together!!! Thank you so much for showing up, rolling with us, and being a part of this awesome community. 🍒🎈

Saturday, May 2nd

We’ll meet up at Palmisano Park at 12:00 pm... balloons, streamers, party hats, and bright colors encouraged!

We’ll roll at 1:00 pm and ride 8.5 miles to @insidetheplant, where the celebration will continue in the @whinerbeer taproom! Hang out, grab a drink, and maybe some pizza from @razas_pizza??

Hope you’re feeling lucky, because we will be raffling off some amazing prizes, thanks to a generous donation from @activetransportationalliance!!

Be sure to bring water and snacks, lights, and bike locks.

We roll at 8-10 mph and stick together, this is a no drop ride!

Our rides welcome all forms of micro mobility! We’d love to see you roll up on e-bikes, cruisers, cargo bikes full of children & pets, scooters, or other PEVs.

I've seen groups of them this year near Ashland/Clybourn on the river.

Best part of Amtrak is I can roll up 30 minutes ahead and be on the train no problem. I usually get down there early for a stop at Naf Naf on the way though!

You've convinced me to get their CC, probably gonna do that real soon.

In 1953, cartoonist and animator Paul Campani invented the iconic “Omino coi baffi” (little guy with a mustache) for the equally iconic Bialetti Moka pot. The character is a caricature of Renato Bialetti, son of founder Alfredo Bialetti

We won.

Tesla Chicago is closed.

Their new location is in a ghost town. They sacrificed visibility to thousands/day--& proximity to the other luxury car dealerships--to get away from us, because we'd turned their brand ambassador location into a liability.

Organizing works.

Same! Their recommendations/albums of the week are solid starting points. Listening to a lot more variety of music as well. Really enjoying it.

“The #WarsawGhettoUprising exploded in full force on #ThisDayInHistory in 1943 to prevent deportation to #DeathCamp #Treblinka. They held out for a month, fighting pitched battles with #Nazis. 7k were killed in fighting or burnt alive, 22k in camps, & some escaped through sewers.”

Just now in Big Marsh Park, I saw five black-necked stilts — a species I’ve never seen before! They’re hanging out near the park’s southeast corner.

Mamdani hasn't had time to really think about all that space he now has, because he spends most of his time at City Hall and around New York City. He tries to keep a semblance of his old life by getting around the city on foot, by bike or train.

"If you spend every single day driving around in a tinted window security detail, you will have a very specific view of the city," he said. "You actually meet other New Yorkers and you break out of the bubble that so many have come to expect of politics, where politicians only seem to be spending time with other politicians or the people who donated to make them politicians."

I'd say that this applies to anyone traveling in a car in any city. Being in a car versus walking, riding, or taking transit fundamentally changes how you view a place and your relationship to it. I wish more leaders set this kind of example.
