Have you seen Hoop Dreams? Got to be close.
I remember seeing When We Were Kings in the cinema. Amazing experience - and came out ready to take on the world.
You look correct to me. It's surprising isn't it, because it is collected in the census. Maybe the reason is that the parent/child has the right for it to be confidential. So they have to declare it to each scool. This is useful -

Inflation rate is the wrong metric for this moment. Being around 2.3% doesn't mean things are back on plan, because that's 2.3% on top of the 10%+ we just saw. Would better to show the cumulative cost ...
It would be great to see your wishlist for data on these issues Sam. I feel like a lot could be found in public data on e.g. suspensions. Data on historic day-of-the-week attendance does exist in the MIS. We recently did this report and plan to do more like it: thekeygroup.com/news-insight...

Teaching is the most important thing... but we can't observe its quality?
What if the inspection process was very different?
How does good teaching manifest in a way that can be observed? Exam results?
Genuinely interested in your thoughts!

Have you read Kitchen Confidential? This stuck with me...

This seems important. In terms of my understanding of atomic physics, but also in terms of scientific discovery and experimentation.
Is it accurate?

Gonna join my first ResearchEd #rED24 event on Saturday. It's not my usual area but I've been really interested in it, basically since working on the Simple Assessment module at ScholarPack. Would be great to say hello ๐
It being on a Saturday has always put me off - - but I think you've just convinced me
