Session 5 at @researchED1 was 'Oracies not Oracy’ by @claresealy.bsky.social. The key takeaway was that it is essential to adapt and contextualise oracy strategies within subject-specific domains to ensure effective impact. RP if you would like a copy #rED24

(Like the Lib Dems had the 'orange book'. That sort of thing.)

During my talk at #rED24 someone said that a good good question a candidate could ask governors on the interview panel would be around how the board/school engages with the community. I thought that was a brilliant suggestion. #UKEdGovs

I’d never been to an education conference before July- now I’ve been to 3 in 3 months! Only problem is, staff at my school now think ‘conference’ is a euphemism for something… this weekend’s #rED24 takes some beating

Ah, I've tried to find the energy to do some reflecting on yesterday at #rED24 but I'm too sleepy. Everyone else has pretty much covered it, but I'll add that it was lovely to see old friends and meet some lovely new people and get to be proper into nerdy bits of ed for fun with like-minded souls.

Still thinking about what @olicav.bsky.social said at #rED24 yesterday. The description of blending your views with your identity - making it difficult for early adopters to acknowledge that some ideas have changed and some basic axioms flawed. Feels like something has changed somewhere.
