Ran 10K in warm sun and cold blasts of wind. It was slow, but it went a bit better than the last couple of efforts. Twinges aside, my ankle was mostly OK. One hello. Saw a bird of prey (a kite?) circling dramatically over the field by the river. #Running #UKRunChat

Thanks!
Well done. That’s excellent!
A bright but chilly morning. The ankle pain is back again so I could only manage a slow 4.6K. Maybe I need to see a specialist. Two hellos. No exotic wildlife. #Running #UKRunChat
A chilly start. Ran a slow and weary 10.5K. Nearly flattened by a cycling club on the river path. Three wandering cats. One wacky baccy smoker. #Running #UKRunChat
Thanks. I think we probably need to have bad runs sometimes just to appreciate the good ones.
Thank you. Yes, hope so.
A very difficult 6K that felt like running through treacle. Maybe I went back too soon after the half marathon. One woodpecker. Three hellos. It was lovely to be met by my cat on the walk home. #Running #UKRunChat
Thank you.
Thanks, Louise.
Thanks, Laura. I appreciate it.
Exactly! I wish they could move it. Thank you for the good wishes.
Thanks. Yes, it absolutely poured but luckily most people had finished by then.
That’s good to hear. Hope you enjoyed the day.
Well done. Hope you missed the worst of the rain.
Well done! I did it too. That hill!
Ran the Bath Half. Chaos at the start with inaudible announcements and confusion about waves. Weather all over the place, too: sun, wind and icy spots of rain. That final hill was tricky, but I got up it. Incredible crowd support. Managed my third best HM time. #Running #BathHalf
Glad your day improved. Running is good like that.
The night rain gave way to weak morning sun, making ideal conditions for my 6.5K. Two hellos and a noisy woodpecker. Strong car fumes. The highlight was running past a beautiful marmalade-coloured cat on a wall. #Running #UKRunChat
Thank you. On the plus side, it wasn’t pouring.
Ran 15K but found it very tough. Hydration issues maybe? One cat (a local bully) and five hellos. Wet, misty air. Saw a group of boys crawling along the path on hands and feet as part of their football training. #Running #UKRunChat
Another 6.5K of hill training. There was a heavy mist, which began clearing as the sun burned through. Two hellos. One woodpecker. It’s a joy (and a great relief) to feel my fitness returning. #Running #UKRunChat
Thanks. It’s going OK, fingers crossed.
In preparation for Bath Half (15th March), which ends on a big slope, I finally did some “hill training”. Found it challenging, but managed a 6.5K circuit with two big ups and two big downs. #Running #UKRunChat
Brilliant time. Well done.
Thanks.
Managed a slow 17K in strong winds and a bit of (welcome) drizzle. There was a running club on the river path and I wondered if I should join them, but they were going the other way. Saw a bird of prey circling high above – probably a kite. Three hellos. #Running #UKRunChat
Fabulous photo. Very envious on the owl front.
A mild start. Ran 6.5K. Three hellos. Heard a woodpecker. Saw a man in a #Parkrun “250” T-shirt, although he was walking. #Running #UKRunChat
Thank you. Yes, winds make it a lot more difficult. I’m trying to just ignore them.
