First rewatch since opening night in 1993.

And the musical score and gentle sound effects aren't lost.
With such an intricate world onscreen, I'd miss a lot of that if I was reading subs too. At least on first watch.

The studio Ghibli dubs are usually so good and done with care, compared to say, dubs on other anime.

I thought Sam Worthington's fake accent was bad then Bill Nighy showed up as a cockney Greek god. 🫠 It's embarrassing.

If you haven't caught it yet, 'What's Love Got To Do With It' is charming.
