So glad the Artemis II flight landed safely. But does Jeremy Hansen need to present immigration papers when he’s picked up by the U.S. Navy, or is this treated like a domestic flight from Florida to California, via the moon?

Interior Finch LRT car
I’m not impressed with the #ttc’s new Line 6 Finch LRT.
Last Wednesday, the trip from Humber College station to Finch West on the 36 Finch bus took 42-minutes in traffic.
Today, the same trip on the new LRT took 55-minutes on a dedicated right of way.
Why is this slower than the bus?
It's frustrating to learn that the opening of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT has now been delayed for a period longer than it took the TTC to build the initial stretch of the Yonge subway. YouTuber "notsmoothsteve" does the math. #toronto #ttc youtu.be/4CRAZhEacvA?...
Looking forward to hosting this great session with Amanda Cupido next week.
On this day in 2016, @mikewise.ca made his Toronto Mike'd debut. We talked about his work at the CBC, the future of the public broadcaster and our many digital distractions.

Happy Superb Owl day.
Job action averted at Ontario Colleges. Both sides agree to binding arbitration, which means there will be no disruption to classes. www.newswire.ca/news-releases/strike-ave...

I finally caught 'The Master Plan' by @healey.bsky.social (which has just been extended at Soulpepper theatre in #Toronto). It's a brilliantly funny satire that cleverly explores the intersection of big tech, urban planning, and municipal politics. Highly recommend it!

See what a little Bluesky competition does?
I love this story of a real-life Charlie Brown Christmas tree controversy: the lights are out in the town of Collingwood while they re-string the tree.

I wanted to see if Siri was any better in iOS 18.2, so I summoned it and asked “Surely it won’t rain today.”
“No it won’t,” Siri replied. “And don’t call me Shirley.”
That’s when I realized I left my iPhone in Airplane mode.
CBC says it is investing its new Google
money (to compensate for the use of online content) to expand local services, adding 25 journalists into a dozen under served communities.

As a coffee fan, I appreciated this blind taste test of U.S. supermarket brands (and I’m really surprised what came in second place).

Thousands of baristas at more than 200 Starbucks locations walked off the job Thursday, in hopes of shutting down stores, to protest the coffee giant’s bargaining practices over scheduling and staffing.
The coordinated work stoppage coincides with one of the coffee giant’s biggest sales events.
