I mean on the one hand haha good one, but also it's far more appropriate. Its ideals are literally the opposite of the Enlightenment.

Why do they call it the Dark Enlightenment when Unenlightenment is right there?
Screenshot of a pop up titled "LastPass requires new settings to update". It says the developer will collect many types of data, including browsing activity. Then there are buttons to update or cancel.
Anyone know what's up with the latest Lastpass for Firefox? I'm currently on version 4.149.3, but I can't tell which version this update will go to.
Executives have little time, are impatient, and often don't care about details/accuracy. AI is, like, made for them. It's a quick way to get *some* answer to a complex question, whether it's right or not. Or generate some BS (which is most of their job).
Is this based on more than just one Porsche ad? It's seemed to me that rich people, at least tech bros, genuinely love using AI themselves. Also, they want us all using AI because they're selling it. For money. You don't have to come up with any "to control us" conspiracy.
Photo of two utility helicopters flying in formation, one red and one blue or gray.
Closer photo of the red helicopter from the previous shot
@helicoptersofdc.bsky.social Two helicopters I've never seen in DC before just flew by. Any clue what these are? Neither showed up on adsbx.

Update: the webpage is back now and they're saying they're only *definitely* cancelled through February. It sounds like they might just be leaving open the possibility of them returning.

Looks like the NNSS finally cancelled their public tours :(

I'm getting "Sorry, you are not eligible for this special offer."
I double-checked that I'm logged in. Is this not available anymore, or is it a temporary issue, or is this just me?
Extremely topical take:

That was on Firefox. On Chrome, I got this:
Type: TypeError
Message: Failed to execute 'text' on 'Response': body stream already read
Stack: TypeError: body stream already read
It was the first time I've tried to submit a tag, so maybe it has something to do with that?

@helicoptersofdc.bsky.social Why not show TIS-B on the map too? I'd think identifying those would be very valuable. Do you not get that data from feeders?
@helicoptersofdc.bsky.social Hopefully easy-to-implement feature: It'd be cool to have a "number of helicopters" field so we can say how many are in the formation. Even when they show up on the map, it usually doesn't tell you how many there are.

But if they pulled him aside after they scanned his ticket, why are we assuming it was facial recognition and not, like, name recognition on his ticket?
Yeah I think they're against all of those things
Wtf? What is this safety feature called?
This is the most asinine argument ever seriously put forward by people with fancy degrees. Why would the Constitution require the Senate to confirm cabinet members if every agency is simply a personal puppet of the President?
So the ideal executive branch would be Trump personally doing everything. Popping up at your post office, your national park, your next TSA screening. The inconveniences of reality are the only reason we can't achieve this (yet 🤞).
"Since it would be impossible for the President to single-handedly perform all the executive business of the Federal Government, the Constitution also provides for subordinate officers to assist the President in his executive
duties."
The opening of executive order 14215 appears to be their central argument for the unitary executive.

Wow yes I see DHS helicopters in DC all the time with nothing at all on the map, let alone ADS-B. Even the Air Force and Marines show up as TIS-B or MLAT often. But certain DHS helicopters are basically never visible at all.
Don't forget #N6798! Another DHS white with blue stripe.
Thank you! I was trying to search with no luck to figure out what a sky crane was doing here!
Just discovered you made it over to Bluesky. So glad you're here!
