Those poor kids. 8 children gone. No words, just rage and another call to action. #musicforthe2ndcrisis

So much going on in the world right now, but remember that you have friends. Get together when you can. Reach out if it's been awhile or just because. We'll get through this together and make things better. #musicforthe2ndcrisis

💯
Three grey and white birds walk upright down a brown dirt road with their crests on display. Their bills and feet are orange, their feet are large, and they are unafraid to strut their stuff.
And totally agree with you that there are so many cool birds to base character design. If it were me, I'd probably try to design something around the kagu:

I suspect it's the eye focus. Shoebills have more forward-facing eyes than most, look like they're looking right at you (they are), that they're contemplating whether they can eat you (they are), and you don't scare them. All things that make execs go "ahah, a great creature design!"
Also: Skexis.
2/ And speaking of cheering up and having some quiet moments of appreciation, today's #musicforthe2ndcrisis is also a reminder of the joy in seemingly simple but surprisingly complex little things. Take time to notice the details. Refresh your spirit. It all matters.

A patch of flowering bluebells in shades of blue and purple stand out against their strap-like green foliage. A very slug-eaten foxglove plant sits in contrast in the left lower corner.
A closeup of a few stalks of flowering bluebell, showing the darker blue striping on each bell against the pinkish-blue coloring of the rest of each bell. Green straplike leaves in the background are the bluebell foliage.
1/ It's Friday, I'm tired, and I think we could all use some cheering up. Let's have some #bloomscrolling, shall we? Local bluebells to the rescue. I believe these are Spanish bluebells. Look at the shading on each individual bell. They're glorious. #flowers #garden
Bluesky's having problems today, the US President is demonstrably suffering from dementia along with his immense spite, and the Republicans are picking fights with the Pope on his behalf. Everything is nuts, so today's #musicforthe2ndcrisis is appropriately madness.

Today I had grapes with my lunch. Each grape was the size of a small kiwi. I am officially weirded out.
It's very easy to feel overwhelmed, particularly with all of what's going on. So today's #musicforthe2ndcrisis offers you some spoons. Got a few extra spoons to lend? Need an extra spoon or two to help you? Reach out. Let's help each other and fix things.

Today's #musicforthe2ndcrisis is the first band repeat on the list. I hadn't planned on repeating artists if I could avoid it, but Moya Brennan passed away. What a lifetime she gave us. Take time to recognize joy, beauty, and kindness, and bring what you can.

Glad I could help. It always brings a smile to my face.
And *yeesh*, yeah, get those compound verses out of your head stat!!!
Today's #musicforthe2ndcrisis is a welcome GOODBYE to both Orban and Swalwell. Good riddance, may their crimes fully come home to roost upon them both, and may there be much more ousters and roostings to come.

Feel better soon!
Today's #musicforthe2ndcrisis is both a reflection of all that's going on, and specifically in recognition of the Hungarian elections. Fingers crossed for you, Hungary.

Today was a great day for making a nice pot of soup. I happen to love making soup, whether it's entirely from scratch or with helpers like boxed broth. Today's soup of choice was a beef mushroom barley. It was delicious, and will be even more so tomorrow. #cooking
Today's #musicforthe2ndcrisis is a reminder of beauty in the world. Beauty crosses languages and borders. Enjoy. Recharge, and keep acting to make the world a better place.

While this is far and away his most famous song, Peter Schilling has a fantastic catalog of music. Error in the System and Things to Come are both fantastic albums - particularly impressive as they were his English translations of his original German works!

It's Friday, I'm very tired, and while crises continue, there's also good news. Today's #musicforthe2ndcrisis is in celebration of the latter. Welcome home, Artemis. Now think of all the great things that we can achieve, and let's shape the world towards that.

Today's #musicforthe2ndcrisis is fairly self-explanatory. Keep finding ways to act. Never surrender.
