High-quality digital cameras, love them or hate them? They’ve totally shifted the game! It’s less about framing the perfect shot now and more about perfecting the crop. What do you think? The art of Photography evolving or creativity compromised?

Niagara Falls: no matter the angle, no picture ever seems to do justice to its majesty. Some moments are simply meant to be experienced.

Since I was a kid, my sleeping pattern has always been a mess averaging 3 to 5 hours a night. Today, I tested positive for COVID, I’ve been doing nothing but sleeping, drifting in and out of naps all day, and it got me thinking:

when you dream, do you dream in color or black and white?

Looking for some inspiration for a personal project! Shocked to discover that Google can’t seem to imagine a desk setup without a computer, laptop, or tech—even when I specifically searched without! Guess the digital age really has its grip on creativity.

Anything with a Porsche in it just works—panoramic, landscape, portrait, square frame… probably even a thumbnail! 🏎️📸 🤣

Beautiful composition btw

After 15+ years in the director’s chair, I’m excited to share something new with you all! I’ve split my work into two separate showreels, one for my Reality projects and another for my Commercial work. This way, you get a clearer view of the different sides of what I do.

The beauty of film photography lies in its endless playground for experimentation from films, cameras, mediums, developing methods, papers, printing techniques!

The downside? Wanting to try them all!! 😭 🎞️

The Lomography Scanning Mask has some elevation! I’ll try it and see if it works!

That’s interesting! Never thought of it! I was researching some systems, but they’re all so expensive! I think I’ll utilize my iPad Pro with the Lomography DigitaLIZA 35mm Scanning Mask Kit.
Thomas, you’re a genius!

Ah, I have the Pentax MZ-5N, it was a gift from a friend back in uni in 2006! I used to love the panoramic mode; it felt so cinematic, like an affordable Xpan 🤣.
Unfortunately, it stopped working a while ago—the mirror’s stuck. I really should send it in for repairs!”

Now I’m curious—what methods do you use to scan your film? Share your secrets!

Feels like joining Bluesky might just bring me back to film…

what’s your latest photography kit?

Lately I wasn’t happy with my film results, so I switched to digital with the Fujifilm GFX50SII.

Still dreaming of a Summilux for my Leica M6 and using the 50MP Fuji with the right system as a scanner.

Your turn—what gear are you shooting with these days?

@trukphoto.bsky.social preferred the bridge image, but I leaned towards the river. That’s the beauty of art—photography is so subjective! Which one speaks to you more?

As a photographer, I enjoy sharing the technical side of my work—it’s rewarding to inspire others to create. Once a photo leaves my hands, it takes on a unique story for every viewer.
And if there’s a story behind it, I’m always up for hearing fresh perspectives!

Beautiful photo btw!

Thanks for the shoutout, Sandeep! It really reminds me of how amazing the Emulsive film community used to be, with Secret Santa, friendly competitions, and that motivation we all shared. I’m not just reminiscing about the old days; I’m hoping we can bring that spirit back and live it all over again!

And here we are, kicking off on Bluesky! Starting fresh with a blank slate. Thousands of posts, memories, and connections from Twitter are fading away, and the photography family we built around the world has scattered over time. Here’s to new beginnings and new connections!
